PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP (with Elsie Haddad)

Whether you are a beginner, an amateur or on the route of a great career, this workshop is your key to the endless world of photography.

Elsie Haddad (M.A. Photography) will teach you how to use your camera, how to control light and how to compose and frame a picture. Even if your camera is not advanced, you will learn how to use the environment, how to find the right subject depending on the theme and catch the decisive moment to make a good photo.

And to mix science with pleasure, you will be creating images (photograms, pinhole photos) and developing them in a professional photography lab (and this is magic!), as well as working on different theme projects, discussing them collectively, improving both your technical skills and artistic flair.

Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6 pm - 8 pm

SILK SCREEN PRINTING WORKSHOP

Learn more about silk screen printing, a messy dirty fun way to print more than a copy of your own artwork!!

Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink past the threads of the woven mesh in the open areas.

Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of silk or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance, and ink is forced through the mesh onto the printing surface. It is also known as Screen Printing, silkscreen, seriography, and serigraph.it can be applied on cards, papers, glass, T'shirts....
what do you need? nothing! just come, have fun and leave with a bunch of printed artwork of you own!!
2 sessions:
- Basics and experimenting method on cardboard.
- collages and different media usage on different layers.

Saturdays from 3:30 to 5:30pm

FINGER PAINTING WORKSHOP (with Kiki Bokassa)

Its aim is to facilitate the ability of self-expression through the interesting connection between the physical act of touching the paint and connecting with something important inside one’s self. Like yoga, finger-painting is a physical and spiritual opening up that helps you transcend and reach a different place within yourself, allowing you to explore body, mind and soul. It’s a good activity to fully express yourself!
